Japanese Bridge, Waterlily Pond

Japanese Bridge, Waterlily Pond

I'm good for nothing except painting and gardening. And he really needn't be good at anything else. The founder of Impressionism, Claude Monet moved from Paris to Giverny in order to paint nature 'on the spot' instead of from inside a studio. His garden at Giverny provided the inspiration for his countless masterpieces of water lilies, weeping willows and wisterias. The incredible light reflected in the garden was brilliantly captured in all of his works, including this uplifting look at the Japanese bridge surrounded by brightly colored flora.
